The Lima Evangelical Seminary is an independent, interdenominational theological institution, organized by an association of churches and missions. The seminary was founded in 1933 with the name of "The Peruvian Bible College" by three pastors from different missions and different countries of origin. Their aim was to create a college to train the leaders of the Peruvian evangelical churches.
The seminary aims to train future pastors and christian leaders in Bible, Theology and other subjects required for the christian ministry. This training is carried out within biblical perspectives to help the students develop an effective ministry, using the gifts the Lord has given them to respond to the needs of the churches and people of Peru and Latin America.
With the help of the Lord, in the second term of 2008, the seminary celebrated seventy-five years of service to the christian churches in Peru. We thank God for the way in which our college has developed during these seven decades. We also recognize that nothing would have been achieved without the efforts of many professors, staff, students and donors.
At the present, there are more than a hundred students enrolled in the diploma, degree and post-graduate programs. Our main aim is to continue serving the Lord and his church in the best way possible during the coming years. |
